Sport, adventure and physical activity is a crucial component in developing RAF personnel into a world-leading fighting force. But for personnel to reach their potential, they must participate in the right environment. The RAF Sports Federation is central to providing that environment.
Across England and Wales, we operate as a federation with 116 local YMCAs that work to support young people in their communities. YMCAs share a common goal to create supportive, inclusive and energising communities where young people can truly belong, contribute and thrive.
Love Rowing's mission is to create accessible and inclusive programmes for communities that are currently under-represented in rowing. The foundation supports young people from state schools, people with disabilities and those from disadvantaged communities, giving them the opportunity to experience the unique benefits of rowing, through the following initiatives:
The Women’s Swimming Collective is on a mission to harness the power of swimming to strengthen communities. When we get women swimming, we get everyone swimming.
We work in two areas:
RJ4All is a non-profit NGO based in SE16 London with a mission to advance community and social cohesion at the local, national and international levels. Through our programmes, we redistribute power within society using the values and practices of restorative justice. To this end, we partner with like minded organisations and individuals to deliver activities that advance our mission including sports and art, inter-cultural dialogue and workshops.
SkyWay works with some of the most vulnerable young people in our society. We offer practical and emotional support through our core projects.
The DSAuk promotes grassroots participation in sport and physical activity, starting with young athletes from the age of two. We use sport as a tool to break down the barriers of difference within society and to encourage confidence and empower our members. It is so important that the our members feel valued and that they can do anything in life.
Our Vision
A world where young people have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Our Mission
Scottish Sports Futures use the power of sport and physical activity to engage with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in Scotland and empower them to be confident, healthy and happy.
