Footsteps is an alternative education provision that was created in a bid to provide education, sports and a promising future to some of London’s more challenging young people. The Footsteps programme is centred around offering students the chance to reach their maximum potential, whatever their ability. Young people who struggle to conform to the regulations of mainstream and have exceptional familial, social or personal circumstances are given a new opportunity to access and engage in learning, in a manner better suited to their needs.
Footsteps delivers the widest possible academic curriculum, combined with vocational and sporting programmes such as boxing, football, rugby and more. We aim to provide Footsteps students with the necessary tools and skills to build a successful future and to be able to make a positive contribution to their community. In doing so, we enable our students to successfully access employment, training, and further education. The delivery of our programmes is underpinned by strong pastoral support, advice and guidance, and engagement with positive role models.
