Sportbox competition to 'kit out' community sports organisations

Sports clubs and charities that are making a real impact and difference in their local community could be in line to win free kit following the launch of a new competition.

The ‘sportbox’ initiative is the brainchild of Manchester-based sportswear designer Kate Kent, and it has partnered with kit manufacturer Bourke Sports to support the competition.

A full set of brand-new sports equipment, clothing or gear, worth around £1,000, will be awarded every three months over the next year to a team, club, group, or community initiative to help support their sporting activities. All the organisation has to do is visit this webpage [sportbox | Connectsport] and, in 300 words or less, tell us:

Its founder and Managing Director, Simon Lansley, commented: “The clubs and charities that sportbox and Bourke Sports will benefit through this competition, are directly or indirectly helping to address a series of key issues in society ranging from physical inactivity and anti-social behaviour, to improving mental wellbeing, social cohesion, educational attainment and employability. They play a vital, unheralded role in society and manufacturers like Bourke Sports are doing important work in supporting them through sportbox.”
