Premiership Rugby seeks first charity partner

Premiership Rugby has launched a tender process to find its first official charity partner for the 2025/26 season.

The two-year partnership offers an excellent opportunity for a charity with national reach to collaborate with the top league of English rugby and its 10 member clubs across the Gallagher Premiership, the Premiership Rugby Cup, and the under-18s Academy League.

Since its inception in 1997, Premiership Rugby has engaged over 150,000 children and young people through its initiatives Project Rugby, delivered in partnership with Gallagher UK and the RFU, and HITZ, the education and employability programme delivered in partnership with club foundations.

Simon Massie-Taylor, CEO of Premiership Rugby, said: “We’re extremely excited to bring on board our first ever official charity partner. The 2025/26 season marks the start of a new era in our social impact and CSR strategy, and we’re looking for a charity partner to join us in using the power of rugby as a force for good in our society.”

Premiership Rugby invites applications from charities whose work aligns with one or more of the following causes: i) health and wellbeing ; ii) children and young people; iii) tackling inequalities.

The selected charity will benefit from official charity partner status, brand awareness, shirt number rights, competition final rights, player and venue access, designated commercial inventory, and fundraising opportunities.

The deadline to apply is Thursday 20 February 2025. For more information about the application requirements and process, click here.
