The Change Foundation has appointed Navjeet Sira as its new CEO.
Nav’s remarkable journey with the charity began as a volunteer coach in 2010, and she has served as Director of Design and Impact for the last eight years. The Foundation itself is one of the UK’s oldest sport for development charities, having been founded in 1981.
Foundation chair Vicky Lowe said Nav’s passion for the organisation, and her experience within the sport for social change sector more widely, made her “the ideal candidate to continue to grow our impact with young people”.
Nav, who will commence her new role in early 2025, commented: “Guiding this remarkable charity into its next chapter is the greatest privilege.
“My 15-year journey has been shaped by the extraordinary young people I have met, a team that have championed me, and mentors who pushed me beyond my own expectations. Now, I’m ready to take bold action.”
She added: “I’m excited to launch new ideas, deepen our work, and meet young people where they are as their needs grow increasingly complex.
“I look forward to brave collaborations and building our centre as a home of excellence for sport and social change. I can’t wait to welcome everyone to be a part of this.”
