Sähëlï Hub is celebrating after claiming a hat-trick of awards for its innovative work in improving health and wellbeing for women across Birmingham.
This week the Hub, based in Balsall Heath, picked up the Partnership Award at the Sport Birmingham Community Celebration Awards.
This award recognised the collaborative efforts between the Hub, England Squash and Edgbaston Priory Club who joined forces to introduce squash to more women and ethnically diverse communities across Birmingham.
Naseem Akhtar, CEO and founder of Sähëlï Hub, commented: “This recognition highlights how strong, long-term relationships produce great partners which create impactful outcomes and meaningful change.”
It follows the Hub recently winning the ‘Building Inclusive Communities Award’ at The Locality Awards 2024, and the Sports Award at the 12th Annual Community Inspiration Awards.
Other winners at the Sport Birmingham Community Celebration Awards included InUnity who claimed the Sport for Good Award for its work supporting families in need, while Pitch 2 Progress picked up the Innovation & Creativity Award for its Midnight Ramadan League, a partnership with Saltley Stallions FC.
