The Sport for Development Coalition has launched a survey to support the next stage of its evolution.
In June, Sarah Mortiboys was appointed as the first full-time manager of the Coalition, which comprises 60 organisations using sport and physical activity to generate positive social outcomes, including charities, national governing bodies and funders.
It is funded and supported by Comic Relief, Sport England and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
The Coalition has three core pillars: advocacy - raising awareness and profile of the sport for development sector; impact - making the case for the sector and proving that sport contributes to the positive development of society; and investment - securing new monies to be invested into the sector.
Now Sarah is keen to reach out to more organisations, and involve the wider sport for development sector.
“As we look to grow the Coalition, it’s crucial that we truly understand the breadth and depth of the sector,” she said.
“We need to understand, respect and help with the ambitions and challenges that organisations are facing.
“Our aim is to create a way of working that is accessible for all, so that we can help build the sector from within to achieve greater impact moving forward.”
The survey takes five minutes to complete and the deadline for submissions is Friday 4th January 2019. Click here to complete the survey.
