Wigan Youth Zone is a purpose built, state-of-the-art youth facility in Wigan town centre which opened in June 2013. It offers young people from across Wigan the opportunity to meet friends, have new experiences, learn new skills and access the support they need to develop and achieve their potential.

The Youth Zone is open to all young people across Wigan aged from 8 to 21, striving to offer something for everyone, regardless of their interests or abilities. With almost 15 dedicated areas to choose from including our four 40-metre floodlit football pitches, art room, music room and climbing wall.

Our vision
At Wigan Youth Zone, we aim to provide the best possible experience and outcomes for young people in a fun, supportive, safe, inclusive and positive environment. We want to ensure that the Youth Zone attracts and retains young people from across the borough in order to provide them with a brighter future.

Our impact
The work we do here is life-saving, Wigan Youth Zone provides more than just a place for young people to hang out – it promotes positive life-long habits with our Gym and health offering, it builds confidence through our sports programme and targeted sessional work, it gives young people the opportunity to talk to someone about their challenges – It’s so much more than just a youth club, we change lives here at Wigan Youth Zone but don’t just take our word for it, many studies have been done already which prove the tangible impact we’re having here in Wigan.
