A thriving, sustainable, community focused organisation, providing positive life enhancing experiences using sport and football in particular to help people throughout Perth and Kinross achieve their goals.
The St Johnstone Community Trust, also known as Saints in the Community, strongly believe football and the association with a Premier League club can provide an attractive pathway through the challenges a community may face - whether that be participating in football itself or merely participating in a programme at the football ground, or the use of football coaches and players to deliver programmes. With this in mind, our charitable outcomes are as follows:
- Fitter, healthier and more active children and young people
- More and better qualified coaches
- Enhanced health and wellbeing
- A more inclusive and equal society
- Improved life skills
To address these aims, the charity operates across 5 core themes and offer community programmes within each. These include, but are not limited to:
Playing
Saints Kidz – Our recreational football programme for children in P1 to S2 where participants take part in fun warm-ups, skill and technique practice and small-sided games. The aim is for players to progress into our developmental and elite football programmes.
Mini Kidz – Not only an introduction to football for pre-school boys & girls but the programme also aims to develop basic motor and social skills.
Teaching
Club Coaching Packages - A structured football education programme with the aim to provide the support, learning and development of young players, teams and coaches of local football clubs throughout the area.
Wellbeing
Reminiscence Projects – Our Football Memories & Screen Memories programmes are aimed at helping people of all ages who would benefit from social interaction - for example, those living in isolation or with a condition such as dementia or recovering from a stroke.
Saints Circuits – Developed from our Football Fans in Training programme, our Circuits class is for men and women who are eager to benefit from a more active lifestyle.
Walking Football - Our weekly session offers a fun and informal way for men and women over 50 to participate in sport locally who, for whatever reason, cannot keep up with the pace of the traditional game.
Including
