Rackets Cubed
Enhancing the long-term achievement of inner-city kids through integrated sports, education and nutrition programmes

Founded in late 2016, Rackets Cubed is a Roehampton-based charity that delivers integrated sport, education and nutrition programs to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged young children and raise their aspirations. We currently have four programmes in London, and one in Yorkshire. We partner with “Aspirational Hosts” and local “inner city” schools. We are shortly to launch programs with Imperial University in London, and Hull University. The hosts provide access, court time and teaching infrastructure free of charge.

Our model has been built using expertise, experience and evidence from work undertaken in the US and focuses on:
- Combining high quality physical activity with STEM and robotics teaching, and nutritional support.
- Delivering sessions on a regular, weekly basis using expert coaches and teachers that are able to build and maintain strong relationships with participants.
- Ultimately, stimulating social integration at a local level through the power of sport.

To date the majority of our participants have either had English as a second language, are from the BME community, or are Girls.

Rackets Cubed has received funding from the London Marathon Charitable Trust.
