The Football Foundation was launched in 2000 by the Premier League, The Football Association and the Government as a charitable vehicle to direct their joint grassroots sports investment into the areas of greatest need and where it will have the greatest impact.
Since it was established, the Foundation has supported £1.4billion of community sports projects that have developed new or refurbished local sports facilities or increased participation in football and other sports.
The Foundation has also delivered flagship corporate social responsibility programmes on behalf of BT, Nike, the Mayor of London and the multi-award winning Barclays Spaces for Sports scheme.
