Enable Leisure & Culture was established in October 2015 providing leisure and cultural services for the benefit of local communities, in particular in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Our aim is to enrich lives and strengthen communities through various sport and physical activity opportunities.

Offering services at eight Leisure facilities we support the residents of Wandsworth and other neighbouring Boroughs to access traditional and non traditional programmes targeting the whole community to become more active.

The Sports Development and Physical Activity team support the community through targeted initiatives often at the least active groups in the community or targeted areas providing opportunities to become more active. Supporting young people within school networks we deliver coaching sessions and help advocate the benefits of physical activity utilising programmes such as the Daily Mile. The offer is extended in the community with activity sessions including a learn to swim programme. Older adults access local community exercise programmes called Active Lifestyles which supports varying levels of intensity and abilities.

Enable Leisure & Culture have a strong presence in local communities delivering targeted programmes on the Winstanley and Alton Estates working with the community to co-design programmes and deliver workforce courses and placements to sustain the work over the long term.
