The leading sport and employability charity Street League has launched a board game which educates young people on its programmes about financial and environmental sustainability.
Street League supports young people across the UK aged 14 to 30 who face personal barriers to employment, and uses the power of sport to improve their wellbeing, secure employment and have a brighter future. The charity works in schools, communities, and with employers to equip young people with the confidence, motivation, essential skills and qualifications needed to succeed in the world of work.
As part of their innovative programmes, staff at the charity have developed the new board game.
Street League’s Director of Operations Kirsty Steven said: “With a growing focus on carbon footprint and sustainability, at Street League we have a responsibility to educate our young people on this topic.
“Our latest initiative involves the development of a board game created in-house. This game not only teaches young individuals financial management skills but also emphasises how they can make environmentally-conscious decisions.”
Kirsty explained: “The game was designed by our talented staff and piloted with our youth board. We look forward to embedding this into our academy curriculum to increase our staff and participants’ awareness.”
