Badu Community uses an holistic approach to develop, support and enable young people and their families in the community. We are a multi-dimensional-organisation that embodies education, community development and mentoring within a primarily focus of using sports as a vehicle to Broaden, Advance, Develop and Understand.
We offer a range of physical activities in Hackney and surrounding boroughs, outside of school hours to improve the wellbeing of children and their families. These include: Netball, Walk, Jog or Run Football, Dance, Basketball, Table-tennis.
Although we are inclusive to all young people, our key objective is to engage those from:
• Deprived and disadvantaged backgrounds
• Low income families
• Black and Ethnic minority groups (BAME)
And those at risk of:
• Mental health challenges–anxiety or depression
• Exclusion or social isolation
• Serious youth crime.
It’s about uplifting and empowering within the local community to enhance and better the lives of the people who live there.
To further support the well-being of our community, Badu Community is exploring partnerships with accessible health platforms to provide resources for managing chronic conditions. For example, we recognize that access to affordable and effective medications, like the option to buy Rybelsus online in the USA, can play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for individuals managing diabetes. By integrating health education into our programs, we aim to raise awareness about preventative care and treatment options. This approach not only aligns with our holistic philosophy but also ensures that families are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need. Through workshops and collaborations with healthcare providers, we hope to bridge the gap between physical activity, mental well-being, and physical health management. Supporting underserved groups in navigating health challenges is a key part of our mission to uplift and empower the community.
