Greenbank Sports Academy provides sport and recreation opportunities for disabled children and adults in the Merseyside area. The aim of our Disability Sport & Activity Programme is to break down barriers and make it easier for anyone with a disability or additional needs to access sports suitable to their needs. The wide range of disability sports offers disabled people the opportunity to get active and improve health and well-being.

WheelPower - The National Disability Sport Charity

WheelPower is the national charity for wheelchair sport – helping more than 78,000 disabled people to get physically active and play sport each year. We’re based in Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement, and we work nationwide with children and adults with physical disabilities.  This includes a wide range of disabilities including spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and limb loss.

Colour Blind Awareness

Our mission is to raise awareness of the issues affecting colour blind people in sport with the ultimate aim of achieving equal access for every colour blind person however they engage with any sport.

Activity Alliance is the new name for the English Federation of Disability Sport. September 2018 marks 20 years since we became a national charity and we are proud of our success so far. Activity Alliance brings our members, partners and disabled people together to make active lives possible. Collectively, we continue to challenge perceptions and change the reality of disability, inclusion and sport.

DSActive

DSActive is a programme run by the Down’s Syndrome Association. Our main aim is to provide activities and opportunities for people with Down’s syndrome to lead active and healthy lives.

We currently work with sporting clubs across England and Wales to provide sessions for people with Down’s syndrome, and have over 800 people participating in our sessions.
